Kotter Change Phases Software Tool 2.0
Often, creating value requires significant change. John Kotter concluded in his book "A force for Change: How Leadership Differs from Management" (1990) that there are eight reasons why many change processes fail:
a) Allowing too much complexity
b) Failing to build a substantial coalition
c) Understanding the need for a clear vision
d) Failing to clearly communicate the vision
e) Permitting roadblocks against the vision
f) Not planning and getting short-term wins
g) Declaring victory too soon
h) Not anchoring changes in corporate culture
According to Kotter, it is crucial to follow the eight phases of change in the above exact sequence. You should make explicit exactly HOW you will do this:
