By downloading four things at once, QuadSucker/News is usually 4 times faster than conventional single-threaded news downloaders. QuadSucker/News is designed to handle all kinds of binary newsgroups, from picture groups to music and movie groups where the attachments can reach hundreds of megabytes in size. QuadSucker/News supports yEnc and all other message posting formats (uuencode, base64, etc). QuadSucker/News has an advanced built-in multi-part message assembly algorithm that will piece together complicated and confusing multi-part binaries. QuadSucker/News handles all possible types of attachments: GIF, JPEG, MP3, MPG, RAR, ZIP, and more. There are extensive filtering capabilities (black and white lists) to eliminate spam. There`s also a handy pick-and-choose mode that lets you decide and prioritize which news attachments you want to download. QuadSucker/News is very versatile and intended for not only people who want no-hassle automatic downloading, but also those who want to decide exactly what gets downloaded. Built in automatic duplicate checker, thumbnail viewers, and full-featured image viewer and sorter. Shareware version is fully functional with no time limits, expiration, or disabled features.
