apt-fast is a shellscript that combines the speed of the multisource downloader axel with apt-get to download deb packages at amazing rates of speed, up to 26x faster! It does this by using axel to download the deb packages, and then uses aptitude or apt-get to install. Simply use it like apt-get, sudo ./apt-fast.sh install , sudo ./apt-fast dist-upgrade, sudo ./apt-fast upgrade
